The Iowa Quilt Museum’s invitation to host my latest single-artist exhibit is a true landmark in my nearly thirty-year quiltmaking career. The 18 quilts on view will feature the debut of new work, rarely seen quilts from public and private collections, as well as my colossal (12 x 16 feet) portrait quilt, Corona, California 2016.

Artist’s Statement:

I started my first quilt in Northern California, only a few years before I arrived in Iowa to advance this newfound passion. Since then I have distilled familiar rhythms of my everyday life into each quilt through geometry and color. Countless lines of hand quilting retrace my origin story, and in turn write one of becoming. These quilts invite you to a quiet harbor where wandering spirits can find rest, a place to come home.
